Dads on Campus - Pumpkin Carving Event

Calling all DTR & LDZ father figures: Our annual pumpkin carving event will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 5:30-7:00 pm. Both the DTR & LDZ cafeteria will be open for families to participate in the event. Free pumpkin will be available on a first come first serve basis (limit of one pumpkin per family)

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week Kick-Off Friday, October 25, 2019, starting at 8:30 AM -9:15 AM our Paper bag costume parade is to be held at the Javelina Stadium. Students will line-up on the field with their teachers & parade on the track (100 yd stretch) one grade level at a time/ Parents are invited to sit on the home-side bleachers.

Dismissal Procedures

Attention Parents: Students in grades PK-1st grade may be dismissed from campus by:

Bus - All PK-1st grade students qualify for bus transportation services. Students are dropped off at the address provided on the CCISD Transportation form. Students will only be released to adults listed on the form who are 18 years of age or older.
If you wish for your child to receive bus transportation services you must come in person to the school and complete a CCISD Transportation Form.
Car Pickup - The DTR dismissal area is located in the east parking lot area. Please remember that cell phone usage is prohibited in school zone areas.
If you will be having your child picked up in a vehicle, please complete the attached Car Pickup Form.
Adult Pickup - Students will be dismissed through the DTR playground gated area. Students may only be released to adults 18 years of age or older who the parent has listed as approved contacts for the school. Adult should have a valid driver's license as a form of identification.

Please note that students in grades PK-1st grade may not walk or be picked up by an individual under the age of 18. Please understand that all dismissal procedures are established to ensure the safety of each of our students.

Thursday, October 10th is Parent/Teacher Conference Day

Parents, your child's teacher will be reaching out to you to schedule a face to face conference. Teachers will be discussing your child's academic progress, the home/school compact, beginning of year testing, report cards, homework, etc. Please contact your child's teacher to set up your personalized conference time.
